Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University (PGUPS) is the first engineering transport university in Russia.

The university has a modern infrastructure for the implementation of any educational projects. ACCOMMODATION

Place in a dormitory

International students are provided with a place in a dormitory for their entire term of study. The dormitories are located in the center of the city, 5−10 minutes walk from the metro

What’s in the dorm?

Study rooms, art and sports facilities, laundry facilities, lockers, student cafes, outdoor sports fields. All dormitories have internet access.

Safety

All dormitories are equipped with video surveillance and twenty-four-hour security service

INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

Studying abroad is an ideal way for students to improve their skills, broaden their horizons, and gain impressions for a lifetime.
After the 2nd year students of PGUPS are offered the opportunity to take a training course at one of the partner foreign higher institutions. These can be both short-term trips and internships, and double diploma programs from 1 year. At the end of such a program the student receives two diplomas: PGUPS diploma and diploma of the foreign partner university.

OWN POLYCLINIC

The campus has its own modern medical center. At the PGUPS Medical Center students can undergo diagnostics, treatment, get a consultation and arrange medical certificates required for dormitory accommodation and participation in sports competitions.

EMPLOYMENT

Due to the university’s close ties with employers, PGUPS students often find jobs even before they graduate.
We are a "supplier" of personnel for the leading enterprises in the sphere of transport and construction not only in Russia, but also abroad.

Among our regular "customers" for training are: JSC "Russian Railways", JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC "Ulan Bator Railway", JSC "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari", Union of Railways "Cuban Railways", "Chinese Railways".
More than 97,5% graduates of the PGUPS successfully find a job immediately after graduation, and their average salary is 45,000 rubles per month.
