ABOUT UNIVERSITY
HISTORY OF PGUPS
The University was founded in 1809 by a Manifesto of Emperor Alexander I. Among the graduates of the University were ministers of transport, political figures, heads of the largest transport, construction and industrial enterprises, famous scientists, inventors and designers.
The founder and first rector was Augustin Betancourt, one of the greatest mechanical scientists of his time. The main objective of the school was formulated by Augustin Betancourt as follows: "To provide Russia with engineers who at graduating from the institution could be assigned to all works in the Empire".

PRACTICE
During studies students can join student groups, which in PSUPS there are 12. You can try yourself as a steward of "Smena" train or take part in construction of transport infrastructure (bridges, railroad tracks, runways, etc.).
Our students took part in construction of Crimean bridge, objects of World Football Championship 2018, they were volunteers of the largest world sports, economic and political events

INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
Studying abroad is an ideal way for students to improve their skills, broaden their horizons, and gain impressions for a lifetime.
After the 2nd year students of PGUPS are offered the opportunity to take a training course at one of the partner foreign higher institutions. These can be both short-term trips and internships, and double diploma programs from 1 year. At the end of such a program the student receives two diplomas: PGUPS diploma and diploma of the foreign partner university.

EMPLOYMENT
Due to the university's close ties with employers, PGUPS students often find jobs even before they graduate.
We are a "supplier" of personnel for the leading enterprises in the sphere of transport and construction not only in Russia, but also abroad.
Among our regular "customers" for training are: JSC "Russian Railways", JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC "Ulan Bator Railway", JSC "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari", Union of Railways "Cuban Railways", "Chinese Railways".
More than 97,5% graduates of the PGUPS successfully find a job immediately after graduation, and their average salary is 45,000 rubles per month.
